Viktor Babariko – a patron, former head of “Belgazprombank”. In 2020, Babariko participated in the presidential race, with 425,000 Belarusians signing for him. Viktor was detained on June 18, 2020, under contrived, politically motivated reasons and was sent to a correctional colony in Novopolotsk for 14 years. Lawyers recorded dozens of violations during the preliminary investigation and the trial. The politician’s son Eduard has been held in detention for more than two years. Babariko’s ally Maria Kolesnikova received 11 years in a colony, the staff lawyer Maxim Znak – 10 years in a colony.

Certainly, there are objective reasons for such low activity of the “Babariko team”. On the other hand, it is evident that Belarusians are interested in what is happening with all the people who started the presidential campaign with Viktor Babariko in 2020.
